Enhancement- Job List & Card - Caption Change from Job to Project (BC and PP V24)

The new Microsoft version 24 consists of a major caption change at all levels on the front-end for the term "Job" in Project Management module, where the new term to be used is "Project".

In alignment with Microsoft, the ProjectPro also has the new caption updated in this application on different pages which includes main list/card page name, field captions and tooltips.

2. Jobs Card -> Project Card

Enhancement- Job Quote fields "Status" and "Probability to Close" changed from Option type to Enum type.

The historical/present data for the fields "Status" and "Probability to Close" on the Job card and list will get auto updated to the new fields with same name automatically. Please note that old fields have been set to obsolete and will get removed by Microsoft in the later releases.

Enhancement- Revenue Recognition – New Excel Import Functionality

• A new feature has been introduced on the Revenue Recognition Summary Details page to export the data as a template through "Export to Excel" button and import it using "Import to Excel" button. Click on "Calculate Revenue Recognition" to calculate the values as usual.




• This feature can be used if the new setup "Rev Rec Imported Data" is enabled on the Projects Setup under the Revenue Recognition fast tab.




• A new function to "Recognize Anticipate Project Loss" has also been introduced. If this setup is enabled, then the "Gross Revenue" and "Gross Profit" will be calculated based on below conditions for all POC Methods except "Markup %" and "Gross Margin %".
• • If the Current Contract >= Current (TCE) Est. Cost at Completion, then
    Gross Revenue = Contract Value * POC%
    Gross Profit = Gross Revenue – Actual Costs to Date
  • If the Current Contract < Current (TCE) Est. Cost at Completion, then
    Gross Revenue = Actual Costs to Date + (Current Contract Value - Current (TCE) Est. Cost at Completion)
    Gross Profit = Current Contract - Current (TCE) Est. Cost at Completion

Enhancement- Warning Message for "Contract Not Exceed" Jobs

A new Projects Setup has been introduced on the General FastTab as "Contract Not to Exceed Warning".

Enabling this setup will give you a warning message upon posting every sales invoice for a job whose Contract Type is set to "Contract not to Exceed".

1. Draw No. and Job No. are added on Apply Vendor Entries page.
2. Same would be flowing from Apply Vendor Entries page to Payment journal page.

Enhancement- Linked Resource Batch Report to Update Existing Values to New List.

A new batch report has been created as "Updated Historical Linked Resources", which will update the existing Linked Resources details from the Item card to the new list of Linked Resources and mark them as Default.

This is available on both Global Search and the Linked Resources list on Item card.

Enhancement- Customer Card – Missing Statistics FastTab

The Statistics FastTab on the customer card is now visible with the ProjectPro application as well.

Enhancement- Obsolete Old Linked Resource Fields on Item Card

The captions of old fields related to Linked Resources have been updated as Obsolete along with their tooltips on the Item card.

Enhancement- Update Field Manager Profile (Role Center) Name in PP App

The Role Center has updated names, especially Field Manager role center.

Enhancement- Add "Project Cost Category" to Item Templates

The "Project Cost Category" field is now added to the Item Templates as well for you create a new Item or update an existing one.

The source code related concerns while posting Project Journal has been handled now and you will be able to post the journal with the old source codes (JOBJNL and JOBGLJNL) as well.

Hot Fix - Default Task not getting updated while creating a new Job/Project

If the "Default Tasks" are not getting updated while creating a new Job/Project, then you can click on "Refresh Default Project Task" button from the Projects Setup’s Action tab.

Enhancement- Progress Billing - Requisition Date should be Posting Date in Sales Invoice

The "Posting Date" of the sales invoice created via progress billing will now get auto updated with the "Requisition Date" from its related progress billing requisition.

Hot Fix – "Edit in Excel" for Purchase Invoice Lines

The "Edit in Excel" now allows to edit the "Read-only" fields as well.

Hot Fix - Subcontract - Issue with Multiple Jobs and PO Creation

The system used to give an error while creating a PO from a Subcontract and the same error if we take multiple jobs on the same Subcontract. This has been resolved now.

Task- Remove the Export/Import Header from Global Search

The "Export/Import Header" has been removed from Global Search. This was obsoleted in earlier versions.

Task – Obsolete "Default Job Task No." on the Resource card

"Default Job Task No." field on the Resource card was related to Linked Resource functionality and is obsolete now.

Task - Spell Correction of "Lien" on Posted Sales Invoice

The spelling for "Lien" under Actions Ribbon of Posted Sale Invoice is corrected.
