Let Us Quickly Dive into Our Expert’s Point Of View

Question 1: In the age of COVID-19, how do you see the construction industry in the year 2022? Do you think this year will be a “digital year” for construction professionals?

Every year is a digital year. Our ability to use digital platforms and capabilities improves every year. The question here is will construction businesses move/invest fast and sufficiently enough.

Question 2: The construction industry has undergone dynamic changes over the years. What do you consider as the biggest challenge for this industry now?

The quality of leadership is crucial.

The industry tends not to invest sufficiently in learning and development unless they are influenced by government policy and any penalties involved.

Therefore, more businesses will fail this year due to an insufficient amount of leadership and management skills.

Question 3: What potential do you see in the latest construction technology trends? Are they capable of boosting the productivity of construction professionals?

Technology isn’t the key issue. It’s businesses not making enough use of it. Again, this is a failure of leadership and good management practices.

Question 4: Where do you see the construction industry in the next five years? Please share your valuable insights with our readers.

The construction industry improves every year. But what are the key issues or drivers that will improve things even more?

For me, it's all about improving the quality of our leaders and managers through greater investment in learning and development programs and coaching.
