Iowa: The Official Stance for Construction
Construction Status: Unrestricted
With more than 7,100 cases in the state, Iowa has not issued any stay at home orders. Moreover, there have been no orders implemented to restrict the activities related to construction. Also, the non-essential business in the state will be reopened on April 30, 2020.
However, the Governor of Iowa, Kim Reynolds has announced that everyone must follow social distancing practices for all the essential activities.
October 2020 Update: The state of Iowa is progressing with the roadwork repairs and bridge patching. However, the status of construction was unrestricted since the spread of COVID-19 in the state. But still, the construction sites are advised to stick with the site safety regulations and OSHA guidelines to avoid the spread at job site.
