Task Type Setup<\/a><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr><\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td><a href=\"#4\">APOS STRUCTURE \u2013 PROJECT ACTIVITIES<\/a><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr><\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<p><b id= \"intro\">APOS DEFINITION<\/b><\/p>\n<p>APOS stands for <b>Activity &#8594; Process &#8594; Operations &#8594; Sections<\/b>, which means we can categorize the Tasks in a Project by these four levels to create any Project Task No. in the Project Task Lines. Once the Task Code is selected as an Activity Code, you can select the Process Code which is required to accomplish the Activity, you can further choose the Operations Code which are required to accomplish the Process, and once the Operations has been selected you can further choose the Sections Code for the Operation selected.<\/p>\n<p>APOS are basically the different levels for the Task Selected in Terms of Activity, Process, Operations &#038; Sections.<\/p>\n<p><b><a id=\"1\"><\/a>APOS SETUPS<\/b><\/p>\n<p><b id=\"2\">1. Projects Setup<\/b><\/p>\n<p>The user can change the naming convention for the Task Types, i.e., Activities, Process, Operation and Section. For this, you can go to Projects Setup and check the Boolean for \u201cEnable User-Defined Task Type Caption\u201d under General fast tab.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/user-guide\/wp-content\/themes\/userguide\/images\/APOS-SETUPS-1.png\" alt=\"null\" \/><\/p>\n<p><b id=\"3\">2. Task Type Setup<\/b><br \/>\nIf the Projects Setup defined above is enabled, you need to update the \u201cTask Type Setup\u201d for the naming convention you want to use for the Tasks.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/user-guide\/wp-content\/themes\/userguide\/images\/APOS-SETUPS-2.png\" alt=\"null\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Once we click on the result \u201cTask Type Setup\u201d page will open, where we can customize the APOS as per our requirements.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/user-guide\/wp-content\/themes\/userguide\/images\/APOS-SETUPS-3.png\" alt=\"null\" \/><\/p>\n<p>To customize the \u201cAPOS\u201d click on the drill down option of the \u201cActivity Code\u201d and select the \u201cNEW\u201d Option.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/user-guide\/wp-content\/themes\/userguide\/images\/Screenshot_12.png\" alt=\"null\" \/><\/p>\n<p>After clicking on \u201cNew\u201d, you will be able to create the \u201cNew Activity Code\u201d and to apply that we need to click on \u201cOK\u201d.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/user-guide\/wp-content\/themes\/userguide\/images\/APOS-SETUPS-4.png\" alt=\"null\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Once clicked on \u201cOK\u201d the newly created Activity Code will be selected as the default, which can be seen everywhere in the system, for example, while creating the New Task Line to select the Task in Activity Code.<\/p>\n<p>To do that, open a Project and click on Process <b>&#8594;<\/b> Project Task Lines. Select a Project Task No. by clicking on the three dots \u2013 \u201c<b>(\u2026)<\/b>\u201d to notice the Activity Code and Description is replaced by the customized name as \u201cPlastering\u201d.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/user-guide\/wp-content\/themes\/userguide\/images\/APOS-SETUPS-5.png\" alt=\"null\" \/><\/p>\n<p>In the above screenshot \u201cPick Task Codes\u201d has been highlighted because the caption of that was \u201cPick APOS Codes\u201d earlier which has now been changed to \u201cPick Task Codes\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>To change the Process, Operation, Section codes, follow the same process as defined above while creating the new Activity Code Name.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/user-guide\/wp-content\/themes\/userguide\/images\/APOS-SETUPS-6.png\" alt=\"null\" \/><\/p>\n<p><b id=\"4\">APOS STRUCTURE \u2013 PROJECT ACTIVITIES<\/b><\/p>\n<p>The default set of APOS can be set on the Project Activities page. The codes and structure defined here can be used throughout the company for all projects. To do that search for the page with the same name and below page will open.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/user-guide\/wp-content\/themes\/userguide\/images\/APOS-SETUPS-7.png\" alt=\"null\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The first page that appears is where you define the Activity Codes. You can set the task to default on each project either by just the code or by the Project Type. Apart from that you can set the default Burden Percentages as well.<\/p>\n<p>Also, if any of the code is not required anymore, then you can block them by checking on \u201cBlocked\u201d Boolean against the required unused code.<\/p>\n<p>This first page of \u201cActivity\u201d further takes you to the \u201cProcess\u201d which takes you to the \u201cOperations\u201d and that takes you to the fourth level called \u201cSections\u201d, see below.<\/p>\n<p><i><b><u>Note:<\/u><\/b> The levels will be set as per the line selection, i.e., if you click on Process or any other level, then it will be defined for the code you have selected on the previous page.
