MAINTAINING SUBCONTRACT INFORMATION   <\/b><\/p>\n<p>The purpose of the Subcontract module is to manage your subcontractor\u2019s contracts, change orders and work performed. This information can be setup and managed from the Subcontract Cards.<\/p>\n<p>From a job card, you can access the Subcontracts list for the specific job you are in.  <\/p>\n<p>For a complete list of your subcontract, you can search \u201cSubcontracts\u201d from the search Icon. Alternatively, if your role type is ProjectPro Manager, you can select the Subcontracts option from your role centre\n<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-243 size-full\" src=\"\/user-guide\/wp-content\/themes\/userguide\/images\/subcontracts_images\/image005.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1215\" height=\"189\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-243 size-full\" src=\"\/user-guide\/wp-content\/themes\/userguide\/images\/subcontracts_images\/image006.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1215\" height=\"189\" \/><\/p>\n<p><P>Once selected, you will find a list of your subcontracts as we have shown below. <\/P><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-243 size-full\" src=\"\/user-guide\/wp-content\/themes\/userguide\/images\/subcontracts_images\/image007.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1215\" height=\"189\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Select an existing subcontract to edit or create a new one.<br \/>\nA Subcontract Card is similar to a Job Card. You can click the Assist Button in the field to see a list of resources. <\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td><b>Job No.<\/b><\/td>\n<td>The Job no for which this Subcontract is made<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td><b>Last Date Modified<\/b><\/td>\n<td>This field shows when the job card was last modified.<br \/>\nWhen you change information on the Subcontract card, the program automatically updates the Last Date Modified field to show the current system date.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<p><b>1.2 Subcontract Lines Fast Tab<\/b><\/p>\n<p>You can assign Job Planning Lines to a subcontract by selecting \u201cGet Job Budget Lines\u201d from the ribbon. Your Job Planning Lines will be displayed on a new page for you to select from.<\/p>\n<p>Choose the lines associated with this Subcontract and select \u201cOK\u201d to add them to the subcontract card.\n<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-243 size-full\" src=\"\/user-guide\/wp-content\/themes\/userguide\/images\/subcontracts_images\/image011.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1215\" height=\"189\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-243 size-full\" src=\"\/user-guide\/wp-content\/themes\/userguide\/images\/subcontracts_images\/image012.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1215\" height=\"189\" \/><\/p>\n<p>You will notice the lines that were selected above are now available on the subcontract card in the \u201clines\u201d section.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-243 size-full\" src=\"\/user-guide\/wp-content\/themes\/userguide\/images\/subcontracts_images\/image014.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1215\" height=\"189\" \/><\/p>\n<p><P>If you need to manually add a line to the subcontract card, you can do so from the \u201cLines\u201d section.<\/P><\/p>\n<p><i>Note: Manually added lines will affect only the subcontract card. These lines will not be updated on the Job Planning Lines and will not adjust the job budget.<\/i><\/p>\n<p>Below we have detailed each column you will need to enter if you choose to enter a line manually. Note: depending on your personalized view, you may not see all of the fields below.<\/p>\n<table class=\"table table-striped\">\n<thead>\n<tr>\n<th scope=\"col\">FIELD<\/th>\n<th scope=\"col\">COMMENTS:<\/th>\n<\/tr>\n<\/thead>\n<tbody>\n<tr>\n<td><b>Job No.<\/b><\/td>\n<td>Select the Job No. the Subcontract is for<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td><b>Job Task No.<\/b><\/td>\n<td>Select the Job Task No. associated with the Subcontract<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td><b>Task Description<\/b><\/td>\n<td>Description related to the Job Task No.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td><b>Job Cost Category<\/b><\/td>\n<td>Select the subcontract Cost Category<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td><b>Starting Date<\/b><\/td>\n<td>Enter the Subcontract starting date for the associated line.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td><b>Type<\/b><\/td>\n<td>This field contains the type of account to which the subcontract line relates.<br \/>\nThe options are:<br \/>\nBlank, Item, G\/L Account\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td><b>No.<\/b><\/td>\n<td>This field contains the number of the account to which the Item Or G\/L Account is posted, depending on the selection in the Type field.<br \/>\nYou can see the numbers available by clicking the Assist Button in the field.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td><b>Description<\/b><\/td>\n<td>The application automatically displays the name of the item or G\/L account to which this entry applies.  You can change the description, a maximum of 50 characters, both numbers and letters, are allowed.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td><b>Quantity<\/b><\/td>\n<td>You can enter the number of units of the No., that is, the item or G\/L account number, that should be specified on the line.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td><b>Direct Unit Cost<\/b><\/td>\n<td>Direct Unit Cost only shows if &#8220;Items&#8221; are being used.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td><b>Unit Cost<\/b><\/td>\n<td>This field contains the unit cost for the selected Type and No. on the line. Unit Cost is automatically retrieved of the selected Type and No. if the type is Item. This is for informational purposes only and can be adjusted as needed<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td><b>Status Date<\/b><\/td>\n<td>This date will automatically update when the Reporting Status is changed<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td><b>Estimated Start Date<\/b><\/td>\n<td>Estimated start date for this subcontract<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td><b>Starting Date<\/b><\/td>\n<td>Starting date for this subcontract<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td><b>Estimated Ending Date<\/b><\/td>\n<td>Estimated End date for this subcontract<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td><b>Ending Date<\/b><\/td>\n<td>Estimated End date for this subcontract<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<p><b>1.4 Budget Fast Tab:<\/b><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-243 size-full\" src=\"\/user-guide\/wp-content\/themes\/userguide\/images\/subcontracts_images\/image025.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1215\" height=\"189\" \/><\/p>\n<p>There were some changes in the Budget Tab on the Subcontract card and the changes are as follows:<\/p>\n<p><b>If the \u201cActual Cost to Date\u201d is Less than or equals to the \u201cTotal Budgeted Cost\u201d then \u201cSubcontract Variance\u201d will not be calculated.<\/b><\/p>\n<p>In the above pointer it is said that if the <b>Actual Cost to Date<\/b> is Less than or equals to the <b>Total Budgeted<\/b> Cost Then <b>Subcontract Variance<\/b> will not be calculated, as for the example in the below screenshot it is mentioned that the <b>Actual Cost to Date<\/b> is Equals to the <b>Total Budgeted<\/b> Cost then the <b>Subcontract Variance<\/b> is not Calculated.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-243 size-full\" src=\"\/user-guide\/wp-content\/themes\/userguide\/images\/subcontracts_images\/image029.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1215\" height=\"189\" \/><\/p>\n<p><b>If Actual Cost to Date is Greater than the Total Budget Cost then only the Subcontract Variance has been calculated.<\/b><\/p>\n<p>But in the below case the Subcontract Variance has been calculated as the <b>Actual Cost to Date<\/b> is Greater than the <b>Total Budget Cost, Subcontract Variance= (Actual Cost To date \u2013 Total budgeted Cost)<\/b><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-243 size-full\" src=\"\/user-guide\/wp-content\/themes\/userguide\/images\/subcontracts_images\/image031.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"1215\" height=\"189\" \/><\/p>\n<p><b>1.5 Costs Fast Tab:<\/b><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-243 size-full\" src=\"\/user-guide\/wp-content\/themes\/userguide\/images\/subcontracts_images\/image034.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1215\" height=\"189\" \/><\/p>\n<p><b>1.6 Status Fast Tab:<\/b><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-243 size-full\" src=\"\/user-guide\/wp-content\/themes\/userguide\/images\/subcontracts_images\/image036.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1215\" height=\"189\" \/><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>SUBCONTRACT MANAGEMENT 1.
