These options let you post entries and print the posting report after posting.<\/p>\n<p>Before you begin, make sure you have made all the necessary journal entries. Also make sure you have tested the posting.<\/p>\n<p>Follow these instructions to post your Job journal entries:<\/p>\n<ul class=\"bullet-list\">\n<li>Click <i><strong>Post<\/strong><\/i> to post the entries without printing a posting report.<br \/>\nOR<\/li>\n<li>Click <i><strong>Post and Print<\/strong><\/i> to post the entries and print a posting report.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone\" src=\"\/user-guide\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/11\/4.4-POSTING-AND-PRINTING-JOB-JOURNAL-ENTRIES.png\" \/><\/p>\n<ul class=\"bullet-list\">\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The program displays a message asking you to verify the posting.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Click <\/span><b>Yes<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> to continue with the posting.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">If the program detects an error, it displays a message.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">If you have problems posting your entries, the program cancels the posting and usually displays a message describing the error.<\/span>\n<ul class=\"circle-list\">\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"2\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Use the <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Actions <\/span><\/i><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">?<\/span><\/i><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Posting <\/span><\/i><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">?<\/span><\/i><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Test Report<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> option to test the posting.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">If the program tells you the date is not in the posting date range, check the dates in the \u201cAllow Posting From\u201d and \u201cAllow Posting To\u201d<\/span> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">fields on both the <\/span><b>General Ledger Setup<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and <\/span><b>User Setup<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span>\n<ul class=\"circle-list\">\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"2\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Also, make sure your accounting periods are set up correctly.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul class=\"bullet-list\">\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">If the posting is successful, the program removes the posted entries from the job journal batch.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">When you have posted your entries, you are ready to print reports.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">When posting resources as a \u201cUsage\u201d transaction you can optionally post directly to General Ledger entries.\u00a0 Job Setup contains the option to activate Direct Post to G\/L.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>This section describes the posting options in the Post\/Print menu when you are working in a journal.
